Use Config Manager to export device settings or restore a saved .bin file.

File contents

Included fieldScope
Device identification, or FRUModel, serial number, date code, and hardware/firmware revision fields.
Voltage setpointsSupported output rails.
Current limitsSupported output rails.
Readback calibrationDevice measurement coefficients.
Power sequencingDevices that support sequencing.

Exports exclude live telemetry, enable state, bus captures, and the firmware image. The firmware revision field is identification data, not a firmware backup.

File size depends on device firmware: 88 or 121 bytes. Do not edit the binary file manually. Matching file sizes do not establish compatibility.

Export

  1. Open Config Manager.
  2. Select the source slot.
  3. Select Export.
  4. Save the file with the serial number and date, such as 226955_2026-07-06.bin.

Record the model, dashcode, and firmware revision with the backup.

Restore

Prepare the load for the imported settings before applying them.

Import can overwrite the target’s serial number and calibration values.

  1. Select the target slot in Config Manager.
  2. Export its current configuration as a backup.
  3. Select Import and choose the .bin file.
  4. Review the comparison: current values appear left; imported values appear right.
  5. Check identification, calibration, setpoints, current limits, and sequencing.
  6. Select Apply.
  7. Check each write segment for errors.

Restore to the original supply whenever possible. Before transferring settings, confirm source and target model, dashcode, and firmware compatibility. Do not assume another supply’s identity or calibration applies to the target. Contact NAI Support when compatibility is unclear.

Verify

  1. Select Verify after the writes finish.
  2. Review any expected-versus-actual mismatches.
  3. Open Telemetry and check the device’s operating state.
  4. Confirm output voltages before resuming the test.

The file does not restore the previous enable or disable state.

Problems

SymptomAction
Import rejects the fileConfirm the source device and firmware compatibility. Do not resize the file.
No differences appearThe imported values match the current configuration.
A write segment failsStop and resolve the error. Earlier segments may already have changed.
Verification failsCheck the reported fields, communication, and write protection. Do not assume restoration succeeded.

See Troubleshooting for connection and write failures.
